# How to React to the Impact of the Cloud on IT Operations Monitoring

According to Gartner, "By 2021, fewer than 15% of organizations will implement holistic monitoring, putting $255 billion of investments in cloud-based solutions at risk."

IT operations teams can counteract those risks by assessing the different cloud technologies in use to understand visibility gaps, expanding monitoring capabilities as needed such as digital experience monitoring, and investing in skills for IT operations monitoring.
